| The Department of Cell and Tissue Biology (CTB) was established in 2005 and includes 14 faculty with primary appointments, 5 faculty with secondary appointments, and numerous graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and research specialists. Faculty research programs focus on questions related to cell biology, including differentiation, transcriptional regulation, cell-matrix interactions, cytoskeleton dynamics, host-pathogen interactions, and neuronal synapses. CTB is the only one of the four departments in the School of Dentistry with research focusing primarily on basic sciences of normal and disease processes. CTB faculty members maintain a strong commitment to professional and graduate school education. There are currently no open faculty searches in the department. |
